Patna Book Fair 2022 A Low Key Affair

After a long gap of three years, The much-awaited and popular Patna Book Fair is being organized at the Gandhi Maidan by the CRD (Centre for Readership Development) from 2nd to 13th of December-2022.

The people coming to fair are joyful, enthusiastic and also nostalgic to participate at this 27th edition of Patna book fair as it is being held after a long gap. The event could not be held due to the Corona Pandemic after 2019.

“मोबाइल छोड़िए, किताब पढ़िए” (Discard Mobile Phones, Read Books) is the theme of this year book fair.

This year event has been a low-key affair because of low participation of publishers and less extra-curricular activities – may be due to covid aftermath.

65th Annual Day Celebration of Geeta Bhawan A Wing of rabindra bhawan

On the occasion of the 65th annual day celebration of Geeta Bhawan (situated in the premises of Rabindra Bhawan, Rabindra Parisad, Beer Chand Patel Path, Patna) on 9th of August 2022, teachers and students have presented superb stage programs and made the evening fabulous and enjoyable.

Our beloved teacher and renowned Tabla player of Bihar, Shri Jyoti Prakash Chakroborty was honored for his contribution in the field of Tabla playing/teaching and completing his 50 years with Geeta Bhawan.

Prakash Parv enlightened the City again

Religious slogans like “Vahe Guru Ji Da Khalsa,, Vahe Guru Ji Di Fateh”, “Satnam Shri Vahe Guru” made the atmosphere of the capital devotional.Patna is enlightened again in the celebration of ‘ 353th Parv’ of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the 10th Sikh guru, from December 31 to January 2.

The “Prabhatferi” that was taken out of the Takht Shrihari Temple Ji Patna Sahib on Saturday was worth watching. Prabhatferi, Ashok Rajpath led by “Panj Pyaron” went to Shri Guru Govind Singh Path.

For the convenience of the devotees, on Saturday, District Collector Kumar Ravi inaugurated fifteen help desks near Patna Sahib station. From here, he launched 50 e-rickshaws and 50 bus services.

Devotees are coming to Takht Sahib Gurdwara, Bal Leela Gurdwara, Guru Ka Bagh, Badi Sangat Gurudwara located at Gaighat, Kangan Ghat Tent City from the e-rickshaw. This service of vehicles is absolutely free for devotees. The District Magistrate said that 15 help desks have been set up on the routes leading to Patna Junction, Pataliputra Junction, Rajendra Nagar Terminal, Gulzarbagh Station, Patna Sahib Station, Patna Airport in the capital. Officers and personnel will be present here at all times to serve and help the devotees.

Chhath Festival begins amid Covid-19 pandemic

Chhath festival is being celebrated amid Corona virus threat.

Nitish Kumar, Bihar CM greeted people on the occasion of Chhath Puja and urged them to be cautious against corona virus infection.
The four-day festival began on Wednesday with Nahai-Khay ritual. It will culminate on November 21 with prayers to the rising sun.

Greetings to the people of Bihar on the auspicious occasion of Mahaparv Chhath, CM Nitish Kumar said that it is essential for everyone to be aware and vigilant, Keeping in view the threat of coronavirus infection.

Bihar has reported 2,27,945 COVID-19 cases till Tuesday and 1,194 people have died due to the virus, the state health department said.

2020 का पहला सूर्य ग्रहण आज

साल का पहला सूर्य ग्रहण आज, रविवार (21 जून 2020) को सुबह 10:00 बजे से शुरू हुआ है। जो दोपहर बाद 03:04 बजे तक रहेगा।सूर्यग्रहण आज लगभग छह घंटे तक जारी रहेगा। कुंडलाकार चरण (Ring of Fire) सुबह 10.19 बजे शुरू होगा और दोपहर 2.02 बजे समाप्त होगा।

आज की खगोलीय घटना ग्रीष्मकालीन संक्रांति के साथ मेल खा रही है जो उत्तरी गोलार्ध में सबसे लंबा दिन है।

पश्चिम अफ्रीका से अरब प्रायद्वीप तक एक संकरी पट्टी के साथ, भारत और दक्षिणी चीन रविवार को एक नाटकीय “आग का गोला” सूर्य ग्रहण देखेंगे।

ग्रहण का आंशिक चरण सुबह 9.16 बजे शुरू होगा। कुंडलाकार चरण सुबह 10.19 बजे शुरू होगा और दोपहर 2.02 बजे समाप्त होगा। पृथ्वी विज्ञान मंत्रालय ने कहा कि ग्रहण का आंशिक चरण अपराह्न 3.04 बजे समाप्त होगा।

सूर्य ग्रहण तब होता है जब चंद्रमा, पृथ्वी और सूर्य एक सीधी रेखा में आते हैं, पृथ्वी और सूर्य के बीच चंद्रमा होता है।

एस्ट्रोनॉमिकल सोसायटी ऑफ इंडिया ने शनिवार को कहा, “दोपहर के करीब, उत्तर भारत में एक छोटे से बेल्ट के लिए ग्रहण एक सुंदर कुंडलाकार (अंगूठी के आकार का) में बदल जाएगा क्योंकि चंद्रमा पूरी तरह से सूर्य को कवर करने के लिए पर्याप्त नहीं है।”

मुंबई के नेहरू तारामंडल के निदेशक अरविंद परांजपे ने कहा, “दिल्ली जैसी जगहों पर सुबह 11 से 11.30 बजे तक 5-7 मिनट तक अंधेरा रहेगा।”

उत्तर भारत के वे हिस्से जहाँ ग्रहण का कुंडलाकार चरण (अग्नि का गोला) दिखाई देगा, वे हैं देहरादून, कुरुक्षेत्र, चमोली, जोशीमठ, सिरसा, सूरतगढ़। देश के बाकी हिस्सों से, यह आंशिक सूर्य ग्रहण के रूप में दिखाई देगा।

हालांकि, पूर्ण सूर्य ग्रहण के विपरीत जब सूर्य पूरी तरह से एक संक्षिप्त अवधि के लिए चंद्रमा द्वारा कवर किया जाता है, तो कुंडलाकार ग्रहण के दौरान, चंद्रमा का कोणीय व्यास सूर्य की तुलना में कम हो जाता है और यह बाद वाले को पूरी तरह से कवर करने में विफल रहता है। परिणामस्वरूप चंद्रमा के चारों ओर सूर्य की डिस्क की एक अंगूठी दिखाई देती है। इसलिए, एक कुंडलाकार सूर्य ग्रहण को ‘रिंग ऑफ फायर’ के नाम से जाना जाता है।

जो लोग ग्रहण देखना चाहते हैं, उनके लिए सरकार द्वारा जारी सलाह:

• एक गिलास पर धूप का चश्मा, काले चश्मे, उजागर एक्स-रे शीट या लैंपब्लाक का उपयोग न करें। वे सुरक्षित नहीं हैं। न ही पानी की सतह पर सूर्य की छवि देख रहा है। केवल वेल्ड ग्लास नंबर 13 या नंबर 14 का उपयोग सूर्य को नग्न आंखों से सीधे देखने के लिए किया जा सकता है।

• आप कार्ड शीट में पिनहोल बना सकते हैं और इसे सूर्य के नीचे पकड़ सकते हैं। कुछ दूरी पर, श्वेत पत्र की एक स्क्रीन रखें। इस शीट पर सूर्य की छवि देखी जा सकती है। शीट और स्क्रीन के बीच के अंतर को समायोजित करके, छवि को बड़ा बनाया जा सकता है।

• झाड़ी या पेड़ की छाया देखें। पिनहोल की तरह काम करने वाले पत्तों के बीच अंतराल के साथ, ग्रहण किए गए सूर्य के कई चित्र जमीन पर देखे जा सकते हैं।

• आप पिनहोल चित्र बनाने के लिए एक झरनी का उपयोग कर सकते हैं।

• काले कागज के साथ Cover कॉम्पैक्ट ‘मेकअप किट दर्पण को कवर करें, केंद्र में एक छोटा छेद है। छाया में दूर की दीवार पर सूर्य की छवि को प्रतिबिंबित करें। आप ग्रहण किए गए सूर्य की एक अनुमानित छवि प्राप्त कर सकते हैं।

The World’s Longest Human Chain Formed In Bihar

In Bihar, the world’s longest human chain is being formed on Sunday against the abolition of water-life-greenery, de-addiction, child marriage and dowry for half an hour from 11.30 am to 12 noon.

More than 4.27 crore people will hold each other’s hands, breaking its own old world record.

Earlier in 2017, 11292 km long human chain was created in Bihar to make the liquor ban campaign successful, whose record was broken by the people of Bihar against the dowry system and child marriage by making 13654 km long human chain.

The state government will also submit the documentation of the human chain to international agencies that have recorded world records as proof. For this, 15 helicopters have been deployed in aerial photography and videography. Representatives of Limca Book of Records and Guinness Book of World Records have also been invited.

The main center of human chain across the state will be the Gandhi Maidan in Patna.
There will be a human chain link in four directions from Gandhi Maidan. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi, Education Minister Krishna Nandan Prasad Verma and United Nations Representative Atul Bagai and other ministers and top officials will be present. The human chain at Gandhi Maidan will be made on the map of Bihar.

Patna Book Fair, Once Again at Gandhi Maidan from 8 to 18 November with this year theme ‘ per, paani, zindagi’ ( tree, water, life).

Patna Book Fair is again returned to Gandhi Maidan after a long gap of two and a half years, . This 11-day fair was held from 8 to 18 November. For this, the world of books is being decorated on about one lakh square feet of Gandhi Maidan. Many big publishers in the country and the world had their presence in the Patna Book Fair. Admission of Disabled persons to the fair was absolutely free, while school children will got a free entry with uniform and identity card. Free admission for college students from Monday to Friday on the basis of identity card.

Patna Book Fair of the Center for Readership Development (CRD) was last held in Gandhi Maidan in February 2017. Although it was held in Gyan Bhavan in December 2017, but it could not get response like Gandhi Maidan. In the year 2018, due to increase in the fee of Gyan Bhawan suddenly, the event had to be postponed. Booking of Gandhi Maidan was also not possible in the last moments. Finally, after two and a half years, it held again in November 2019 at Gandhi Maidan.

The world is observing the 5th International Yoga Day today on June 21st.’Yoga for Heart’ is the theme this
year.

Ranchi, the Jharkhand’s capital is hosting the main yoga day even at Prabhat Tara ground where PM Modi
performs Yoga along with 18,000 people, including Chief Minister Raghubar Das.

The idea of International Day of Yoga was first proposed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the UN General
Assembly on September 27, 2014. Thereafter, the United Nations proclaimed June 21 as the International
Day of Yoga.

Since 2015, the International Day of Yoga is celebrated annually on June 21.

The World Music Day is also being celebrated today on June 21 in over 120 countries including its country of origin France where it is known as ‘Fête de la Musique’ meaning “festival of music” to honour both amateur and professional musicians.

World Music Day 2019 will see the first-ever live concert on Facebook in India. Vh1 India and MTV Beats are joining forces to celebrate World Music Day on Facebook.

The Facebook celebration, #LongLiveMusic, will last 24 hours starting at midnight on June 21.

Yes…! Shah Rukh khan, the Badshah of Bollywood was in Patna to take part in Bhaskar Utsav, a five-day organized by Hindi Daily Dainik Bhaskar in the state capital.

Shah Rukh was overwhelmed by the response he got from his fans here.
Shah Rukh also talked about some of his experiences about his career and life during a talk show organised at Bapu Sabhagar in Conventional Hall.He enthralled a large number of his fans,dancing on the tunes of famous ‘Chhaiya Chhaiya’ and a bhojpuri song with Ravi KIshan.

Takht Sri Patna Sahib

Takht Sri Patna Sahib or  Harmandir Sahib is one of the most sacred places for Shikh religion as Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Sikh Guru was born here  on December 22, 1666. The Gurdwara Patna Sahib is at the same place where Guru Gobind Singh Ji was born.

It was built by Maharaja Ranjit Singh (1780-1839), the first Maharaja of the Sikh Empire, who also built many other Gurdwaras in the Indian subcontinent. The current shrine of Patna Sahib or Takht Sri Harmandirji Saheb was built in the 1950s.

Guru Gobind Singh Ji spent his early years here before moving to Anandpur,Panjab succeeding his father as the next Sikh Guru and established Khalsa Panth.

Takht Sri Patna Sahib or  Harmandir Sahib is one of the only five Takhats or Seats of Authority of the Sikhs.

The other four Sikh Takhats are:

•Akal Takhat in Amritsar (beside the Golden Temple)
•Takhat Keshghar Sahib in Anandpur Sahib (Birthplace of the Khalsa)
•Takhat Damdama Sahib (in Batinda district of Panjab)
•Takhat Sachkhand in Hazur Sahib (the place where Guru Gobind Singh took his last breath)
